The value of a scanned document is not the image, but the information contained in it. Extracting data from the image is a crucial component of the document scanning process, and we can help.
There are three basic methods used by National Scanning to identify data in scanned documents:
OCR :
"Optical Character Recognition" is a technology that identifies printed characters on a page. The accuracy rate is roughly 99%, and gets much higher with human correction. This method can be used for full text search and converting documents, such as letters and spreadsheets, into fully editable text files.
Hand Keying :
In order to extract un-structured or slightly illegible text from documents, our operators will key the text into a database for search or analysis.
Barcodes :
Using barcodes is the most popular method of associating scanned images with searchable information. Our team will work with you to develop a simple and effective barcode solution that will save time and money.
National Scanning utilizes advanced software and processes to achieve superior results! We welcome the opportunity for a comparison of our output with other methods and vendors. Please contact us for additional information and a free quote!
